Maia race - course, placed in the centre of the city of Merano, is to be considered unique in its own kind.

Merano is a holiday resort and a renowned thermal centre, surrounded by a beautiful and panoramic landscape.

Already during the Belle Epoque, in Merano there was a small race-course, where some of the best jockeys and gentlemen, especially those from the German-speaking central part of Europe, would ride.
